Welcome.
Many of you have been in this community for a long time, but whether you’ve just joined or you’ve been a member since day one, this is your first impression of the new DeviantArt.
Change is not something that we take lightly, because it affects our collective identity. It was important for us to define who we are and what we’re made of at our core before we changed anything. We all have our own understanding of what that means, but the process of getting that core story down on paper took almost a year.

this is my final say in the argument against natural born talent vs skill. we all start out by drawing scribbles that slightly resemble things. i was about 3 yrs old here., and had probably already been drawing for some time since i was brought up in a family of artists. drawing only gives back with the time we give to it, and it takes a lot of patience, more needed in the beginning, and a lot of determination to keep at it even though we are continually frustrated.
hope this inspires some of you to keep going, or some of you to start, it will be even better if more of you, my dA friends, stop making excuses saying you wer
